KONOS
KIDS
(Grades 4-6) KONOS one-day programs offer:
After children receive at-home, informal character training and basic reading and writing skills (from grades K-3), they are ready for a more structured program. This program is for children who can read and can relate well within a small group of other students. Norma Jacobson and Holly Hampton provide a weekly structure for the family’s at-home schooling. In class they meet to account for assignments, do exciting hands-on activities, and interact around KONOS units (science, history, geography, art, music, literature, writing, grammar, Bible).
KONOS has been a lifesaver for me! It relieved me of hours of
lesson-planning, and my girls are studying subjects that I would never have
been able to include in our studies otherwise. KONOS gives our
home-schooling the added structure that it needed and still allows the
flexibility that I love! NORMA JACOBSON, BSW, MSW, homeschooled for several years, coordinated Camp Chippaway for 10 years, led children’s choir at her church, has taught KONOS KIDS for five years, and loves teaching elementary students. HOLLY HAMPTON, a homeschooling mom of one current KONOS ACADEMY student and two KONOS ACADEMY graduates, teaches KONOS KIDS and consults with parents. Classes meet at: COST AND ENROLLMENT New applications are reviewed starting March 4. Space is limited. To enroll, print and fill out this application form (PDF file) and send with enrollment fee. KONOS CONNECTION, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, represents a biblical worldview of education. KONOS is the Greek word for cone symbolizing God at the apex of all knowledge. Our goal is to teach His truth, His way. |
